2009 was an awesome year. A lot of amazing things happened in the world of hosting (and a lot happened in the world of Harper too). Being a crazy hosting aficionado, I will summarize my thoughts on hosting in 2009 (I will leave the predictions for 2010).

In the past week there were a couple of companies(tumblr and 37signals) who publically blamed Rackspace for the downtime of their sites (tumblr here and 37signals here, here) . Hi. My name is Harper. I am an engineer excited about real time, social software and the open source software movement. I am currently spending some time building interesting things and hacking for rackspace. In a previous life, I was the CTO of the awesome Threadless.
