I didn't think it was going to be so hxc with the ruthless killing and stuff but it was cool. I am pretty sure the future wont be like that so you won't have to worry... [after reading your post] a corollary of the divine comedy? inferno / hell= "modern" life in england is hell, mindless monotony and punishment for any stepping out of line. the idea of living a free life while actually being controlled and monitored at every step.purgatory= refugee camp, pretty obvious... caged up, things actually seem as though people are surviving despite the shite situation...paradise= the boat is salvation and rebirth. interesting [to me at least] is that the novel on which the film is based [<a href="http://www.amazon.com/Children-Men-P-D-James/dp/0679418733/sr=8-3/qid=1168330789/ref=pd_bbs_3/102-6087965-9708128?ie=UTF8&s=books" rel="nofollow"><i>the children of men</i></a> apparently doens not contain any of the "leftist" message of the film [haven't read it but intrest is rising... that's all for now, they need to make unlimited movie passes so you can go re-view new releases. go read the imdb boards on it to have some chuckles. two thoughts on the film:
